The Master aims to offer in-depth knowledge - at a social, economic, legal and technological level - about the opportunities and implications related to the development of the IoT (the so-called "Internet of Things") with respect to Smart Societies and the enhancement of assets Tangible and intangible cultural.

The goal is to train new professionals capable of understanding, designing and developing solutions enabled by new intelligent technologies for business systems, governance activities, innovation of production and management processes, initiatives in the social and cultural field. Particular importance will be attributed to the application experiences already matured in the field of management and enhancement of cultural heritage.

the Master will allow its participants to:

- know the constitutive and characterizing elements of the Internet of Things and Smart Societies;

- identify and deepen application contexts and available technologies, innovative relational and business models and in particular forms of use of cultural and common assets (so-called "Commons");

- have a complete map of the legal implications: IT security, protection of personal data, intellectual property and use in open mode;

- develop competence for the design of managerial and organizational solutions;

- enhance economic opportunities also in the perspective of access to funds and financing for technological innovation.

The main characteristics of this new professional figure can be summarized as follows:

- ability to use IoT technologies and platforms available for the management and processing of data useful for the development of strategic policy choices;

- mastery of the main legal implications related to the dissemination and use of innovative technologies related to the IoT, in particular in the enhancement of cultural heritage;

- basic skills in the economic and management field to exploit the potential of digital innovation related to the IoT for the benefit of the enhancement of cultural assets;

- knowledge of the communication processes necessary to support the processes of dissemination of innovative technological business solutions linked to the enhancement of cultural heritage.

The Master is aimed at any graduate or professional who wants to deepen their understanding and learn about the possible strategies for using the Internet of Things and "smart" technologies within companies or public administrations, to define a complete picture of opportunities and potential advantages that can be obtained in terms of business development and improvement of the governance of social and cultural systems.

At the end of the Master, the Student will be able to:

- select and promote the most appropriate smart technologies for the purposes of your organization;

- identify and design business models and technology management for the enhancement of the social and cultural heritage of the territories with the most suitable technologies for its realization;

- governing (taking into account the starting professional profile) a process of creating an IoT solution, from its design, to the procurement of skills and to its implementation;

- identify risks and opportunities of using the IoT;

- communicate the achievable and obtained results to stakeholders effectively and using the most appropriate tools from time to time.
