Access requirements Description
We will be happy to receive your application. The minimum requirements are generally a bachelor degree, work experience and proficiency in English. The latter can be demonstrated by for instance a first degree in English, an IELTS Academic score of at least 6.5, or a Dutch secondary education mark of HAVO 8 or VWO 7.5.
Given the high student demand for a programme with only 20 spaces, we follow a rigorous selection process based on individual qualities, as reflected in motivation, CV and an assignment, and group diversity.
Programme learning outcomes
- 1) Have knowledge and awareness of contemporary societal issues, in particular those related to the focus areas of sustainability, inclusivity and digitality and how these issues impact and are impacted by museum and heritage work.
- 2) Have a basic historical knowledge framework of global history and are aware of the constructed nature thereof.
- 3) Can critically apply their knowledge and understanding of the intricate relations between societal developments and museum and heritage work in order to address the issues at hand in an ethical manner, in known and unknown professional environments, and by means of independent intervention-related research.
- 4) Can effectively apply principles of team, project and change management in collaborative work and in intercultural, multidisciplinary and international settings in order to accomplish organisational goals.
- 5) Have the ability to integrate knowledge and intervene in complex museum and heritage interactions within the context of the three focal areas of sustainability, inclusivity and digitality; acting in an ethical manner while aware of the mission and mandate of the different stakeholders involved.
- 6) Can effectively exchange knowledge and experience in English within the working environment in speech and writing, with the use of visual aids, while addressing the different stakeholders concerned such as, senior management, professional peers, clients, academic specialists, and/or audiences.
- 7) Can recognise and autonomously address areas for further personal professional development given the tasks at hand and ever-changing societal and organisational needs.
