IULM - University Institute for Modern Languages
The University was founded in 1968 by the Fondazione Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori, on the initiative of Senator Carlo Bo and Professor Silvio Baridon, as a University Institute of Modern Languages (I.U.L.M.). From the outset, the idea was to meet the needs of the labour market on the basis of an analysis of current trends with a focus on language and communication skills.
Università IULM 's mission is to prepare students for a number of careers in communications, new media, languages, tourism and cultural heritage.
IULM’s 3 highly specialized faculties run 7 undergraduate programs, 7 two-year master's degrees, and several one-year master's degrees and executive education courses for working professionals looking to acquire new skills.
