Programme description

In this master's programme, you and your supervisors work out your own pathway based on your field of interest. This will give you the opportunity to profile yourself within one of the three lines of study:

the heritage safeguarder (conservation-restoration)
the heritage strategist
the heritage researcher.

The focus of the programme is on the learning line heritage safeguarder. Via two modules of 12 credits each, you specialise in a particular material or group of materials. Your master's thesis also ties in with this specialisation; in this way, you move seamlessly between the work studio, the lab and the study area. At the end of this interdisciplinary master's programme, you will be able to independently complete a conservation-restoration project. You will be able to coordinate projects and effortlessly collaborate with specialists from other disciplines, such as (art) historians, architects, volunteers and researchers.
