Specialization course

As part of the programme, students learn about the basics of geology - rocks, their mechanical and chemical properties - and discover which of these properties are useful for stonemasonry. They learn about traditional and modern methods of working stone, acquire knowledge of its use, restoration, planning and computer design of stone products. The Graduate School in Artistic Heritage offers courses in the fields of Art History, Museum Studies, Restoration and Diagnostics, Management and Enhancement of Artistic Heritage, Cultural Heritage Legislation. The Programme also requires a substantial amount of practical training in institutions devoted to conservation of Artistic Heritage.

The comprehensive study programme is devised so that students familiarize themselves with all periods of historiographical research; particular attention is paid to the following: history of modern-day Slovene ethnic territory, history of Southeastern Europe, and general history.
